Website Re-design for NewCo

My Role

I was tasked with combing through the various pages on the New Connections Counseling website to identify areas for enhancing user engagement with our content.

I was also made aware of an major issue that our users were facing:

User Experience Challenge With The Rates Webpage

We noticed our clients were struggling to match therapists with their rates. My aim was to clear up this confusion and make it easier for them to find the information they needed

Before the Re-design

This was the basic structure for the Our Services Page.

Ideation and Sketching

After my own initial analysis, I worked to do some competitor comparison research. Then once I had some ideas rolling I decided to start sketching how I wanted my redesign to look. Certain pages required more preparation than others. For specific pages, such as the Rates webpage, I found it effective to dive directly into Figma to start crafting solutions.

User Personas

The design process was guided by consideration for two key audiences. I developed the designs after analyzing our website and social media analytics to identify our most engaged and interested users.

Once sketches were made I sent them over to my supervisor for approval. Then when I got that I moved on to the mock-up phase which was created with the Figma tool.

Development and Finish

Again, another round of approvals. This involved making adjustments and creating several variations for further consideration.

Once we settled on a design it was time to build on WordPress.
